(Central Hd. Qtrs. 32, Phase 6, Mohali,

A LEGENDARY LEADER

Er. HARCHANDAN SINGH, General Secretary IRTSA
IRTSA, a mighty organisation having strong roots in almost all workshops and sheds in every nook and corner of Indian Rlys to echo the voice of 40,000 Technical supervisors, was established on 27.11.1965. Eversince its inception this magnificent Association tirelessly works for the welfare of the cadre, fearlessly works for preserving the cadre's prestige and honour and constructively works for building up the Cadre's prosperity and bright future. Though many distinguished persons held office at different capacities and displayed their selfless and sincere service to the category, One man lives outstandingly in the hearts of the cadre by his towering personality and that is the founder of IRTSA and its General Secretary for more than 30 years Shri Harchandan Singh. He is retiring on 30.9.2001 after 38 years of service in the Rlys. He has devoted over 35 years of life serving IRTSA and the Trade unions movement of Railwaymen at large.
IRTSA
SALUTES HIM ON THIS OCCASION, AND PRAYS THE ALMIGHTY TO BLESS HIM AND HIS FAMILY MEMBERS WITH SOUND HEALTH AND PEACEFUL RETIRED LIFE
we wish that he will continue to serve this organisation and find more time in future to devote on Railwaymens welfare.
I have been associated with him over three decades and I am proud to be his
colleague all these years. Not only me but also many contemporary trade union
leaders and also the officers at the helm admire his knowledge, involvement,
presentation of cases with accurate statistics, powerful oratorial skills and
dedicated service. It is this quality of this great personality which has taken
this organisation from the roots to great height all these years. It is my
pleasure to bring out on this occasion a biographical sketch of Shri Harchandan
Singh which will inspire the cadres of this Association much better.
