Valley of Flowers,
Uttarkhand
I got a chance to visit the Valley of Flowers,
UttarKhand (at that time it was part of Uttar Pradesh only) in the year 1991.
It was a wonderful experience for me. For not only did I thoroughly enjoy the
trek to the Valley, but additionally I met a very nice person
Mr C.S. Yogananda from Bangalore, who was at that time teaching Mathematics
at the Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Since we had quite a few things in
common, we became good friends on that trip. I took a number of photographs,
some of which are being posted here:
I really miss the opportunity to visit
the Valley of Flowers again, and of course, the Gurdwara Hemkunt Sahib. May
be, God willing, I shall be able to go there again this year or the next. One
never knows .....
